Via Margutta, in the heart of Rome
The Hotel Manfredi Suite in Rome is located on the historic and aristocratic Via Margutta, one of the most elegant and famous streets in the centre of Rome (in the restricted traffic area - ZTL), renowned for its Art Galleries and antiques shops. Twice a year (generally between the end of April and the end of October), the Via hosts the famous Mostra dei 100 Pittori (Exhibition of 100 Painters) founded in 1953 and seeing famous painters of both national and international renown displaying their works.
Here lived great names from the Italian and international artistic scene, including the marvellous Oscar-winning director from Rimini, Federico Fellini and his well-known actress wife Giulietta Masina. They were recently honoured with a memorial plaque placed on the façade of the building where they once lived. Other great artists who lived here are: painter Renato Guttuso, Novella Parigini, Pieter Paul Rubens around 1600, Pablo Picasso in 1917 and Pericle Fazzini right in the building of our Hotel.
The Hotel is located just 50 metres from the house where Gregory Peck stayed in the film Roman Holiday starring Audrey Hepburn, a well-known 1953 film that illustrates the beauties of Rome. A short walk takes us to the romantic Spanish Steps with the Metro Line A stop just 50 metres from the Hotel.
The area, in the district of Campo Marzio with its Trident known as the beautiful salon of Rome, is a significant place for shopping with the famous shops of national, international high-end fashion and big-name brands. Easily reachable on foot are: Piazza del Popolo, Galleria Borghese, Colosseum, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, the Vatican and its Museums.
The Hotel Manfredi Suite in Rome is the best place to stay for a holiday of culture and relaxation with the whole family.
